QE closes in green on Tuesday

Doha- Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) closed in the green at the end of Tuesday’s session.

The general index rose 0.54%, or 52 points, to reach 9,756.38 points.

Liquidity went up 40.9% to QAR 123.56 million, compared to QAR 87.7 million on Monday, while trading volume retreated 4.6% to 2.27 million shares, from 2.38 million shares yesterday. (we usually mention the day first then yesterday)

The real estate sector topped gainers after adding 1.62%, backed by Ezdan Holding by 2.25%.

The telecom sector came in the second place at 1.15%, pushed by Ooredoo’s stock which grew 1.5%.

The consumer goods and services, and industrials sectors fell 0.5% and 0.35%, respectively, affected by the drop of Woqod and Medicare for the first sector and National Cement and Industries Qatar for the second.

Mannai led the red list, sliding 2.2%, while Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) was the most active in terms of turnover QAR 61.85 million and traded volume 664,000 shares traded.
