Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) ended Tuesday’s session down, losing 0.15% or 16.08 points and closing at 10537.75 points.
The decline was driven by the leading stocks, with Al Watani slipping 0.7%, Ezdan going down 0.56%, and Industries Qatar 0.09%. Combined, the three stocks account for more than 40% of the relative index weight.
As for the sectors' performance, all went down, except for the banking and transportation sectors.
Consumer goods and services led the decliners, slipping 0.54%, pushed down by Medicare Group, the session's biggest loser, which dropped 2.42%.
The industrial and real estate sectors went down 0.47% and 0.44% respectively.
Similarly, the telecom sector shed 0.2% on the back of Vodafone Qatar, which went down 0.54%, despite having the biggest traded volume with 1.17 million shares. The insurance declined 0.17%.
On the other hand, the transportation and banking sectors went up 0.05% and 0.04% respectively, with the latter backed by Al Masraf gaining 2.31%. The stock recorded the biggest traded volume of QAR 62.96 million ($17.29 million) today.
