Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) benchmark ended Monday’s session on a higher note for the fourth session in a row.
The main index rose 0.70% or 66.53 points, to 9,547.83 points.
QE Al Rayan Islamic Index also increased by 0.85% to 3,400.63 points. All Share Index as well closed 0.54% higher to 2,533.33 points.
However, trading volume dipped 22.9% to 8.78 million shares from 11.38 million shares yesterday. Likewise, trading value fell by 25%, recording QAR237.22 million versus QAR316.16 million on Sunday.
Sector-wise, the best riser was telecoms (+2%), while insurance sector was the only decliner by 0.27% fall.
Qatar Islamic Bank topped the gainers, growing by 4.55%. Meanwhile, Doha Insurance was the worst performer with a slip by 7.14%.
The most active share by volume was Vodafone Qatar with 1.54 million shares worth QAR16.67 million, while Industries Qatar was the volume leader upon exchanging 24.44 million shares at a turnover of QAR233,820.
