Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange (QE) rose for the second consecutive week in row, as the market capital increased by QAR 9.1 billion.
The main index went up 1.43% or 125.57 points, and closed at the level of 8,918.48 points.
Market cap reached QAR 493.85 by the end of the week, growing 1.88% compared to its level in the week before.
The industrial and banks sector contributed to the benchmark index gains, rising 4.04% and 2.03%, respectively.
On the other hand, five sectors closed in red, led by insurance losing 1.92%, and transportation with 1.74%.
Traded values rose 13.3% to a total turnover of QAR 1.43 billion, while volumes declined 15.8% to 48.77 million shares.
The number of transactions also decreased by 0.85% to around 17,560 from a near 17,710 in the previous week.
