Doha- Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) opened in red on Tuesday, on the back of real estate and banks sectors' losses.
The general index dropped 0.11%, or 10.82 points, to 9969.29 points.
The real estate sector topped the losers by decreasing 0.45%, on the back of Ezdan Holding, which dropped 0.49%.
The banks and financial services sector also shed 0.13%, affected by the fall of the Commercial Bank and Islamic Holding by 1.6% and 1.11%, respectively.
The telecoms sector joined the fallers by sliding 0.05%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector leveled up 0.54%, followed by the industrials and consumer goods and services sectors by 0.28% and 0.18%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 282,070 shares through 252 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 24.34 million by 10:30am Qatari time.
