Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Electricity & Water Company (QEWC) on Tuesday announced achieving a 1% increase in its profits in the first quarter of 2017.
Net profits amounted to QAR 350 million ($96.11 million) in Q1-17, compared to QAR 347 ($95.29 million) in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QAR 3.18 in Q1-17, compared to QAR 3.16 in the same period the year before, the statement showed.
The company had previously reported a growth of 2.7% in its profits for 2016 reaching QAR 1.542 billion, compared to QAR 1.501 billion in 2015.
