Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Electricity and Water Company’s (QEWC) net profit for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2016 rose by 9.2% to QAR 450.05 million ($123.47 million), versus QAR 412.21 million for Q3-15.
Net profit for the first nine months of the year grew by 7.7% to QAR 1.26 billion from QAR 1.17 billion for the same period of 2015.
Earnings per Share reached QAR 11.21 for the period ended September 30, 2016, compared to amounted QAR 10.37 for the same period last year, according to a bourse filing released on Wednesday.
Operating profit increased in the nine-month period by 7.8% to QAR 346.15 million, versus QAR 321.19 million for the corresponding period last year.
QEWC earlier posted a net profit of QAR 808.54 million for the first half of 2016, 6.9% up from QAR 456.18 million for H1-15.
