Doha – Mubasher: Qatar First Bank (QFB) acquired 67.5% of Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) total liquidity on its first day of trading on Wednesday after being listed on the bourse.
The stock made a turnover of QAR 106.3 million, while the market’s trading value reached QAR 157.5 million during the first half hour of the session.
QFB was also the most traded stock with a volume of 6.72 million shares, forming 79.5% of total the QSE’s trading volume which amounted to 8.45 million shares.
The stock came second in the gainer’s list with a growth of 3.07% to QAR 15.46.
However, the bourse’s main index opened with a fall of 1% or about 100 points.
The listing of QFB on the Qatari bourse is the second of its kind in the last five years, after the listing of Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company in early 2014.
