QIB profits rise 0.2% in Q4

Doha - Mubasher: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) reported a 0.2% growth in net profits to QAR 545 million ($149.6 million) in the fourth quarter of 2016 compared to QAR 544 million ($149.33 million) in the same quarter in 2015.

Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QAR 8.55 for the period ended 31December 2016 compared to EPS of QAR 8.06 for the same period in the previous year, the bank said in statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) on Wednesday.

QIB board of directors proposed the distribution of cash dividends to shareholders at 47.5% of capital of QAR 4.75 per share, subject to approval of the Central Bank and the bank’s general assembly.
