Doha – Mubasher: Qatar National Bank announced on Tuesday that it reached an agreement to acquire the full stake of National Bank of Greece (NBG) in Turkey’s Finansbank for 2.7 billion euros.
The acquisition came in the frame of the bank’s efforts to be the most prominent brand in the Middle East and Africa by 2017,” QNB said in the statement.
The bank, listed in Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE), earlier announced a net profit of QAR 8.7 billion in the first nine months of 2015, versus QAR 2.2 billion in the same period last year.
