QNB profit rises 11% in 9M

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar National Bank (QNB) posted on Monday a net profit of QAR 9.7 billion ($2.66 billion) for the first nine months of 2016, rising 11% year-on-year.

Total assets grew by 37% y-o-y in the January-September period to QAR 713 billion ($195.8 billion), the highest ever achieved by the group.

The growth in assets was driven by loans and advances which grew by 38% to reach QAR 507 billion ($139 billion), according to a statement.

QNB earlier reported a net profit of QAR 3.3 billion for Q2-16, rising 13.8% y-o-y.
