QNB to raise non-Qatari ownership limit to 49%

Mubasher: Qatar National Bank (QNB) plans to recommend the bank's extraordinary general assembly to increase the percentage of non-Qatari ownership in the group's capital to 49% from 25%.

The biggest lender in the Middle East and North Africa by assets said that this move is in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 9 of 2014, according to QNB’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) on Monday.

QNB’s profits grew 6.2% to QAR 13.1 billion during the full-year 2017 compared to QAR 12.3 billion a year earlier.
