Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note, encouraged by a massive growth of all sectors.
The general index rose 130.81 points, or 1.41%, to 9,395.81 points.
The bourse’s liquidity increased to QAR 256.45 million on Tuesday from QAR 131.45 million on Monday, while the trading volume levelled up to 10.73 million shares against 6.34 million in the previous session.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 1.74% as Ahli Bank and the heavyweight Qatar National Bank went up 3.95% and 2.17%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial sector went up 1.30%, boosted by Industries Qatar’s 2.11% increase, while the transportation sector advanced 0.84% after Qatar Gas Transport (Milaha) gained 1.31%.
By the end of the session, Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which grew 0.43%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 4.9 million shares, generating QAR 48.7 million in liquidity.
