QSE adds 25 pts at Wednesday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) finished Wednesday in green territory after growing 24.75 points, or 0.24%, to 10,292.82 points, boosted by the real estate and banking sectors.

The bourse’s trading volume fell to 4.17 million shares, from 4.89 million in Tuesday’s session, while liquidity slumped to QAR 168.16 million, from QAR 196.42 million.

The banking sector rose 1.26% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock increased 1.92%, while the real estate sector grew 0.48% after the stock of Ezdan Holding Group went up 0.85%.

On the flipside, the insurance sector dipped 1.55% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance’s (QGRI) stock declined 4.15%.

The industrials sector edged down 0.62% after Industries Qatar’s stock fell 1.31%.

QNB’s stock topped the market in terms of liquidity after generating QAR 43.7 million, while Barwa Real Estate’s stock, which fell 0.05%, generated the highest trading volume after 719,200 shares were exchanged.
