Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in the green after its benchmark increased 36 points, or 0.37%, reaching 10,147.62 points.
By 9:45 am Qatar time, the QSE’s trading volume reached 907,800 shares exchanged through 790 transactions at a turnover of QAR 17.85 million.
The real estate sector led gainers with 1.44% as Ezdan Holding Group’s stock rose 2.54%, and United Development Company’s (UDC) stock inched up 0.07%.
The banks and financial services sector edged up 0.55% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock levelled up 0.64%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector was the worst performer with 0.73% as Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) stock fell 2.19%.
Salam International Investment Limited’s (SIIS) stock topped the QSE’s risers with 5.41%, while the stock of Widam Food Company was the worst performer with 3.26%.
Qatar Aluminum Manufacturing’s (QAMCO) stock, which dipped 1.11%, led the market in terms of traded volume with 151,550 exchanged shares, while QNB’s stock generated the highest liquidity with QAR 2.45 million.
