QSE adds 46 pts early Monday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in green territory, as six sectors jumped supported by the latest decision of reshuffling the Council of Ministers.

Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Sunday has issued decree No.7 of 2018 reshuffling the Council of Ministers.

By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.45% to 10,377.56 points, adding 46.42 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 15.1 million after 345,700 shares were traded through 361 transactions.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.71% due to Qatar Islamic Bank’s 1.60% increase, while the industrial sector levelled up 0.26% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing and Industries Qatar inched up 0.60% and 0.13%.

The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which advanced 0.77%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 4.5 million, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB), which plunged 0.47%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 67,8000 shares.
