Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green.
By 10:02 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.06% to 8,892.77 points, adding 5 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 47.6 million after 2.8 million shares changed hands through 830 transactions.
The telecommunications sector topped the QSE’s gainers gaining 1.5% after United Development Company jumped 3.7%.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector topped the bourse’s losers with 1.5% led by the drop of Qatar Gas Transport and Gulf Warehousing Company which tumbled 2.5% and 1.5%, respectively.
United Development Company topped the market in terms of trading volume with 905,720 shares, generating QAR 15.4 million.
