Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading in the green, helped by the jump of six sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.63% to 9,080.48 points, adding 56.09 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 9.2 million after 344,100 million shares were exchanged through 302 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.91% as the Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) and the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) went up 2.36% and 1.28%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial grew 0.31% on the back of Investment Holding Group’s 1.31% increase.
Meanwhile, the goods and services sector was the bourse’s only decliner losing 0.12% as Al Meera Consumer Goods and Medicare Group went down 1.32% and 0.79%, respectively.
Qatar First Bank’s stock, which levelled up 0.78%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 234,900 shares, while Industries Qatar’s stock, which advanced 0.47%, spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.2 million.
