Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday's trading session in the green.
By 09:53 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 6.3 points, or 0.07%, to 8,956.88 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 648 million after 417,000 shares changed hands through 281 transactions.
The insurance sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.55%.
On the negative side, the goods and services segment headed the bourse’s decliners falling 0.5%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which inched down 0.01%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 7.2 million, while Barwa Real Estate’s stock, which rose 1.2%, headed the market in terms of trading volume with 2.22 million shares.
