Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading in the green.
By 09:56 am Qatar time, the general index grew 60 points, or 0.71%, to 8,868.52points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 33 million after 2 million shares changed hands through 446 transactions.
The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 2.21%, followed by the growth of the real estate and banking sectors by 1.6% and 0.8%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the bourse’s only decliner falling 0.17%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which rose 1.71%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.07 million shares, generating QAR 9.54 million in a liquidity.
