Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a positive performance in the week ended 29 December.
The general index rose 0.08% or 8.85 points to reach 10,436.76 points, compared to 10,427.91 points last week.
Turnover decreased 12.5% to QAR 970.2 million, compared to QAR 1.11 billion last week, while traded volume increased 31.07% to 41.01 million shares compared to 31.29 million shares.
The banks sector acquired 33.12% of the market’s liquidity, followed by the real estate, industrial and telecom sectors by 27.49%, 12.57% and 9.7% respectively.
Zad Holding topped the gaining stock and grew 10.81%, while Ezdan Holding led the worst performers and lost 4.91%.
Ezdan Holding accounted for 8.58% of the market’s trading value, followed by Qatar First Bank by 7.72%.
Market capitalisation reached QAR 563.466 billion this week, compared to QAR 562.086 billion last week.
