Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) is expected to reach the level of 8,000 points if oil prices continued to fall, markets analyst Abdul Salam Al-Amiri told Mubasher.
Al-Amiri suggested that the decline in the Qatari bourse is justified under the prevailing conditions.
“There is a certain fragility in the traders’ culture, which reflects on their decisions,” he added.
But, Al-Amiri expected that the bearish performance will not last long in QSE, stating that cash dividends will drive the index to the green zone.
The main index closed Wednesday at 8,689.37 points after dipping 3.31% or 297.13 points.
