QSE benchmark adds 105.73 points in week

Doha – Qatar: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) benchmark gained 1.01% or 105.73 points through this week’s trading.

The market trading value increased 62.3% to record QAR 1,422.52 million up from QAR 876.67 million a week earlier, while the turnover raised by 57.3% to 36.54 million shares from 23.23 million shares in the previous week.

On a sectorial basis, the marker sectors surged collectively topped by the industrial sector that added 2.4%, followed by the real estate and the telecommunications that gained 18% and 1.52% respectively. The banking sector was the sole decliner as it eased 0.12%.

Out of 44 stocks traded through this week, 30 stocks ended in green zone, while 13 stocks ended in red zone and only one stock remained unchanged.

The market capitalization went up 1.03% reaching QAR 565.48 billion ($155.15 million), against QAR 559.69 billion a week earlier.
