Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined on Sunday by 0.44% or 42.94 points to the level of 9,794.02, breaking below 9,800 points.
Trading volume decreased 46.8% to 2.6 million shares from 4.89 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also shrank 57.3% to QAR 73.24 million from QAR 171.64 million.
The telecom sector declined 0.87% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar fell 0.92% and 0.66% respectively.
The banking sector retreated 0.70%, dragged by a decrease of 1.36% in QNB.
The industrial sector dropped 0.75% as Industries Qatar and Qatar Electricity & Water declined by 1.7% and 0.25% respectively.
Meanwhile, the insurance and real estate sectors were the only risers as they grew by 0.8% and 0.07% respectively.
The index closed Thursday at the level of 9,836.96 points.
