Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Sunday’s session rising by 0.11% or 11.67 points to the level of 10,937.07 points.
Trading volume decreased to 6.91 million shares from 11.2 million shares exchanged on Thursday, as turnover also shrank to QAR 299.8 million from QAR 454.04 million.
Four sectors closed on a positive note topped by the banking sector (+0.63%), backed by an increase of 3.02% in Qatar Oman Investment, and 0.71% in QNB.
On the other hand, three sectors closed in red headed by the transportation sector (-2.72%), pressured by a 4.45% fall in Milaha.
Vodafone Qatar witnessed the biggest trading volume activity with 1.2 million shares, while QNB made the highest turnover of QAR 48.01 million.
Qatari Investors, up 9.92%, was the top gainer, while Medicare Group, down 8.14%, was the top loser.
