Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday’s trading rising 0.14% or 13.96 points to the level of 9,805.61 points.
Trading volume retreated 33.88% to 2.42 million shares from 3.66 million shares exchanged on Thursday, turnover also decreased by 32.08% to QAR 91.58 million from QAR 134.83 million.
The index was backed by a rise of 0.94% and 0.1% in QNB and Industries Qatar respectively, while Ezdan Holding shrank by 0.96% and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) fell 1.04%.
The telecom sector was the best performer after adding 0.95%, followed by the transportation sector with a growth of 0.44% as Gulf Warehousing gained 1.55%.
The insurance and banking sectors leapt 0.35% and 0.23% respectively, while the real estate and consume goods sectors declined by 0.39% and 0.37% respectively.
Qatar First Bank was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 345,170 shares, while QIB made the highest liquidity of QAR 26.6 million.
