QSE closes 0.24% lower

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday’s session falling by 0.24% or 23.84 points to the level of 9,714.93 points.

Trading volume declined to 4.34 million shares from 4.67 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also decreased to QAR 152.49 million from QAR 163.77 million.

The real estate sector retreated 0.64% as Ezdan Holding fell 0.94%, the industrial sector dropped 0.2% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing, down 4.44%, was the worst performing stock.

The banking sector declined 0.06% due to a 0.9% decrease in Qatar Islamic Bank.

Meanwhile, the telecom sector grew by 0.61%, backed by the rise in Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar by 0.67% and 0.33% respectively.
