Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Wednesday’s trading falling by 0.37% or 38.59 points to the level of 10,359.99 points.
Trading volume decreased to 8.82 million shares from 11.1 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also retreated to QAR 239.31 million from QAR 338.54 million.
The banking sector dropped 0.69% the commercial Bank of Qatar topped decliners with a fall of 3.14%.
The industrial sector shrank 0.4% due to a 1.72% decrease in Aamal. The real estate sector declined 0.21% as Mazaya Qatar, United Development and Ezdan fell 1.33%, 0.65% and 0.25% respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom sector advanced 1.1%, backed by a 1.62% rise in Ooredoo, the best performing stock.
Qatar Islamic Bank made the highest turnover of QAR 56.54 million, while Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 3.58 million shares.
