Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday’s trading with a growth of 0.56% or 55.64 points to the level of 9,980.11 points.
Trading volume increased 36.9% to 2.3 million shares from 1.68 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose 58.2% to QAR 106.4 million from QAR 67.24 million.
The consumer goods and services sector was the best performer after rising 1.39%, backed by the increase in Woqod and Salam International Investment by 2.11% and 1.17% respectively.
The real estate sector also leapt by 1.38% as Barwa and Ezdan advanced by 1.83% and 1.38% respectively.
Meanwhile, the banking sector was the only decliner after falling 0.3% as Ahli Bank, Dlala Holding and QNB shrank by 1.72%, 1.02% and 1% respectively.
During the two session of the week, the index rose 0.95% or 94.88 points to the level of 9,980.1 points.
