Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 1.33% or 117.55 points to close at 8,937.39 points.
The QSE’s turnover increased to QAR 399.66 million on Monday from QAR 185.58 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased to 7.52 million shares from 10.05 million.
The banking segment topped the gainers with 2.30%, backed by Ahli Bank and Qatar National Bank (QNB) which rose by 3.4% and 1.9%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led the decliners with 0.83%, dragged by Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo which lost 1.09% and 0.64%, respectively.
