Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday in green, after initial losses in the morning trading, on the back of three sectors.
The general index grew 0.12% or 9.69 points to 8,301.79 points, backed by the banks sector with 0.38%, pushed up by the rise in six stocks, topped by Al Khaliji with 2.5%.
The transportation sector also rose 0.34%, on the back of three shares, led by Qatar Navigation with 0.7%.
On the other hand, four sectors declined, led by the industrials with 0.63%, pressured by the biggest loser, Gulf International, with 3.79%.
Turnover dropped to QAR 165.73 million from QAR 177.06 million in the previous session, while trading volume fell to 7.97 million shares from 8.45 million shares on Sunday.
Vodafone Qatar, down 3.08%, topped the trading activity in terms of volume, with 2.8 million shares, while QNB achieved the highest turnover with QAR 40.5 million, rising 0.07%.
