Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s session rising by 1.02% or 103.75 points to the level of 10,256.52 points.
The index was backed by the rise in some blue chips as QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar grew by 0.72%, 1.05% and 1.21% respectively.
Trading volume decline to 8.49 million shares from 26.94 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also decreased to QAR 371.62 million from QAR 1.3 billion.
The insurance sector was the best performer after rising 2.07%, followed by the transportation and telecom sectors as they leapt by 1.58% and 0.79% respectively.
Doha Bank topped gainers by adding 3.12%, while Dlala led decliners with a fall of 4.8%.
Industries Qatar made the highest liquidity of QAR 46.6 million, whereas Vodafone Qatar was the most traded stock with a volume of 1.38 million shares.
