Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Tuesday at its lowest level in 20 months, pressured by a decline in all sectors.
The main index dropped 0.71% or 60.8 points to 8471.6 points.
The transportation sector dropped 1.64%, weighed down by three stocks, led by Ezdan with a 1.82% drop.
The industrial sector also declined 1.2%, influenced by the drop in different stocks, led by Qatari Investors with 3.98%, while the banks sector fell 0.24%, after a decline in Dlala Holding and QNB by 3.24% and 0.41%, respectively.
Moreover, turnover declined to QAR 205.46 million from 233.46 million, with traded volume slid to 9.05 million shares versus 11.04 million shares on Monday.
Vodafone Qatar, down 1.31%, had the best trading activity, with 4.4 million shares traded, and a QAR 36.3 million in turnover.
Al Khaleej Takaful led the 33 losing stocks with 5.57%, while Alijarah Holding led the six winning stocks with 1.53%, with only two shares stabled.
