Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) went down 1.29% or 121.83 points to close the week’s mid-session at 9,328.24 points.
Masraf Al Rayan was the top loser with a fall of 2.18%, followed by Industries Qatar which lost 1.75%, and Qatar National Bank (QNB) which went down by 1.08%.
QSE’s turnover increased to QAR 229.95 million on Tuesday compared to QAR 170.39 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew to 8.76 million shares from 6.31 million.
The industrial sector led six decliners with 1.86%, dragged by Gulf International Services which levelled down by 5%.
QSE’s market cap decreased by 1.3% to total QAR 509.4 billion on Tuesday compared to QAR 515.9 billion in the previous session.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the only gainer with 0.23%, backed by Qatar Navigation which rose by 1.68%.
United Development Co was the most active stock on which nearly 893,100 shares were traded.
Doha Bank posted the highest liquidity of QAR 25.6 million.
