QSE closes Tuesday on negative note

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s trades down, weighted by leading stocks.

The general index fell 2.16% or 236.68 points to reach 10,702.12 points.

The real estate sector led losers with a 2.90% decline as Mazaya Qatar decreased 2.55%.

The banks sector also lost 2.34%, on the back of Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar National Bank (QNB).

Ezdan Holding Group and QNB fell 4.28% and 2.89%, respectively.

Traded values rose to QAR 700.9 million compared to QAR 591.6 million on Monday; traded volume also increased to 15.9 million shares from 15.3 million yesterday.

Ezdan topped traded volumes with 1.4 million shares, while QNB led the traded values by QAR 83.24 million.
