QSE closes Wednesday in green amid lower liquidity

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.07% or 6.70 points higher at 8,999.92 points.

QSE’s liquidity shrank to QAR 326.56 million on Wednesday from QAR 431.47 billion in the previous session after the trading volume decreased to 8.98 million shares from 9.11 million.

The goods segment topped five gainers with 0.30%, while the real estate sector advanced the decliners with 1.03%.

Doha Insurance was the top winner with 3.56%, while Zad Holding led the losers with 1.97%.

Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock on which 1.55 million shares were exchanged. The stock added 0.35%.

QNB posted the highest turnover of QAR 116.36 million. The stock went down 0.07%.
