QSE closes down 0.77% on Thursday

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) shed 0. 77% or 88.4 points to stand at 11,320.39 points on Thursday.

Turnover also shrank 41.4% to QAR 264.88 million, compared to QAR 451.73 million, while traded volume decreased 38.2% to 6.67 million shares from 10.79 million shares exchanged on Wednesday.

The real estate sector fell 1.3%, on the back of Ezdan Holding Group which lost 1.8%.

The banks sector decreased 1.3%, weighted by Ahli Bank and Qatar National Bank (QNB) which levelled down 2.22% and 2.13%, respectively.

On the other hand, the telecommunication sector rose 1.1%, backed by Ooredoo which increased 1.43%, while Vodafone Qatar shed 0.08%.

Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution Company topped best performers advancing 4.17% to QAR 30, through exchanging 2,020 shares at a value of QAR 60,720 shares.

Ezdan was the most active in terms of traded volume by trading 907,600 shares at a value of QAR 17.73 million, while QNB was the most active in terms of turnover of QAR 38 million through exchanging 227,360 shares.
