Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading with a fall of 0.04% or 3.6 points to the level of 10,252.9 points.
The index was pressured by the fall some blue chips as Ezdan declined 1.2%, Barwa Real Estate retreated 1%, Doha Bank shrank 0.69% and Masraf Al Rayan dropped 0.14%.
Trading volume slid 54% to 3.7 million shares from 8.49 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also fell 47.3% to QAR 195.6 million from QAR 371.62 million.
The telecom sector grew 2% as Ooredoo advanced 2.1%, the transportation and banking sectors also grew by 1.45% and 0.32% respectively.
On the flipside, the real estate, insurance and industrial sectors declined by 0.93%, 0.82% and 0.12% respectively.
