QSE closes on negative note

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading with a fall of 0.02% or 1.68 point to the level of 10,392.15 points.

Trading volume decreased to 8.18 million shares from 6.69 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also declined to QAR 318.78 million from QAR 319.46 million.

The insurance, real estate and industrial sectors shrank by 0.9%, 0.47% and 0.45% respectively, while the banking sector rose 0.75% and the telecom sector advanced 0.82%.

QNB topped gainers with a growth of 1.86%.

Masraf Al Rayan led the trading activity as 2.25 million shares were exchanged at QAR 85.79 million.
