QSE closes up Monday for 4th consecutive session

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose for the fourth session in a row on Monday.

The benchmark index of the QSE closed up 0.76% or 62.08 points to the level of 8,196.54 points.

The industry sector led rising sectors with a 0.66% growth, bolstered by Qatari Investors Group which added 2.03%.

Likewise, the banks sector edged up 0.47% on the back of Masraf Al Rayan which increased 2.54%.

On the other hand, the commodities sector slipped 0.78%, pressured by Salam International Investment which fell 4.26%.

Liquidity retreated to QAR 133.20 million from QAR 169.55 million in the previous session.

Meanwhile, trading volume dropped to 6.56 million shares, versus 9.31 million shares on Sunday.

The QSE opened Monday’s session up, as the main index inched up 0.03% or 2.78 points to 8,137.27 points.
