Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s session in green, for the fourth day in a row, amidst a rise in four sectors.
The main index hiked 0.98% or 80.50 points to 8,333.84 points.
The real estate sector topped the gainers with 2.58%, on the back of four stocks, led by Barwa with 2.90%.
The industrials also rose 1.23%, pushed up by six stocks, topped by Gulf International with 2.19%.
The banks sector gained 0.54%, backed by Doha Bank, the top gainer, with 3.42%.
On the other hand, consumer goods led the losing sectors, with 0.08%, dragged down by Medicare, the top loser, with 3.01%, as it witnessed a 23.7% drop in profits to QAR 3.67 million in Q3-17.
Turnover increased to QAR 146.71 million from QAR 122.48 million, after trading 8.22 million shares, versus 6.01 million shares traded on Tuesday.
Investment Holding, down 1.08%, achieved the highest trading volume, with 1.7 million shares, while QNB generated the highest turnover with QAR 19.6 million, rising 0.26%.
