QSE declines 0.14% on real estate and industrial stocks

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s trading with a decline of 0.14% or 13.27 points to the level of 9,538.77 points.

The insurance was the worst performing sector after dropping 1.58% as Qatar Insurance shrank 2.7%.

The industrial sector retreated 1%, pressured by the fall in Qatar National Cement and Industries Qatar by 3.33% and 1.03% respectively.

The real estate also declined 0.55% as Mazaya and Ezdan fell 1.12% and 0.59% respectively.

Meanwhile, the transportation was the best performer after gaining 1.25%, followed by banking (+0.58%), telecom (+0.23%) and consumer goods and services (+0.2%).

Trading volume rose 200% to 10.77 million shares from 3.59 million shares exchanged yesterday, turnover increased 214.5% to QAR 423.06 million from QAR 134.53 million.

The index closed yesterday at the level of 9,675.66 points.
