Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) lost 2.79% or 302.64 points, reaching the level of 11,134.81 points by the week ended 8 September.
This week, total turnover decreased by 14.7% to QAR 1.45 billion compared to QAR 1.7 billion last week, as trading volume also declined 12.3% to 32.21 million shares from 36.74 million shares a week ago.
The Qatari bourse's market cap lost 2.48% or QAR 15.54 billion ($4.26 billion), as it reached QAR 565.19 billion ($155.08 billion) by the end of this week, compared to QAR 580.73 billion ($159.34 billion) in the week before.
Out of 44 stocks traded this week, 11 were on a rise, while 32 dropped and only remained unchanged.
QNB registered the highest traded value at 20.8% of total turnover, followed by Industries Qatar and Masraf Al Rayan with 12.2% and 10.8% respectively.
