QSE down for 4th session

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance for the fourth session in a row, hitting the lowest level since mid-February.

The general index went down 1.08% or 106.07 points to 9,748.78 points.

Al Rayan Islamic index declined 0.62% to 3,810.42 points, while All Share index retreated 0.96%.

The market saw trading of 7.39 million shares on Thursday, compared to 8.83 million shares on Wednesday.

Turnover declined to AED 252.43 million from AED 298.39 million.

The telecom sector was the worst performer with a 3.23% decline, followed by the insurance and banks sectors at 2.32% and 1.03% in a row.

Oredoo led losers after falling 3.37%, while Medicare Group topped gainers after rising 3.45%.

Vodafone Qatar was the most active company after trading 1.18 million shares, while Widam Food Company was the value leader with a turnover of QAR 16.52 million.
