QSE drops 1.81% at Tuesday's open

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session down, dragged by the drop of all sectors.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, the main index fell 1.81 % or 159.24 points to 8,677.97 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 3.8 million after 68.3 million shares were traded through 1,030 transactions.

The real estate sector plunged 2.40% as Ezdan Holding Group lost 3.29%.

The industrial sector went down 1.66% after Qatari Investors Group tumbled 3.91%.

Similarly, the goods and services sector dropped 1.55% as Salam International slid 10%, while the banking sector declined 1.20% after the fall of Qatar Nation Bank (QNB) with 0.77%.

Salam International’s stock was the most active topping the bourse in terms of traded volume with 1.2 million shares exchanged, while Masraf Al Rayan, which decreased 1.25%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 14.4 million.
