QSE drops 108 pts at Tuesday's close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index fell 107.86 points, or 1.07%, to close at 10,010.24 points on Tuesday.

The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 232.64 million on Tuesday, from QAR 266.85 million in the previous session, while trading volume declined to 8.13 million shares, against 9.95 million on Monday.

The real estate sector led decliners and slid 2.21% after Ezdan Holding Group plunged 3.08%.

The banking sector tumbled 1.38%, as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) retreated 2.67%.

Meanwhile, the industrials sector went down 1.25% after Industries Qatar dropped 2.42%.

On the other hand, the goods sector inched up 0.04% after Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution advanced 4.51%.

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which added 1.11%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of liquidity and trading volume after 2.23 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of QAR 40.39 million.
