Doha –Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended 0.19%, or 20.13 points lower, reaching 10,431.34 points at the closing of Sunday’s trading session.
The sectors declined collectively, except for the telecoms sector which gained 1.4% as Ooredoo increased 1.71%.
The real estate sector led losers with 0.46%, as United Development Company decreased 1.46%, followed by Barwa with 1.39% and Mazaya Qatar with 0.07%.
The industrials sector tumbled 0.39% after Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company, Qatar Investors Group, Qatar National Cement Company, and Industries Qatar shed 3.54%, 1.30%, 1.25%, and 0.36%, respectively.
The banks sector lost 0.28%, topped by Dlala Brokerage and Investment with 1.85%, followed by Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) and Al Khalij Commercial Bank which went down 1.56%, and 0.97%, respectively.
Liquidity on the QSE dropped to QAR 150.86 million on Sunday against QAR 173.13 million on Thursday, while traded volume rose to 7.3 million shares against 6.61 million shares.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume and value with 3.76 million shares traded at a value of QAR 35.35 million.
Earlier on Sunday, the benchmark index rose 0.04% to 10,455.48 points.
