Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session down.
By 10:12 am Qatar time, the general index declined 23 points, or 0.25% to 9,0257.15 points.
The transportation sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.52% as Qatar Gas Transport levelled down 1.01%.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector went up 0.43%, encouraged by the growth of Ezdan Holding Group and Barwa Real Estate which gained 0.72% and 0.13%, respectively.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 24 million after 900,000 million shares were changed hands through 490 transactions.
Qatar Islamic Bank’s (QIB) stock, which decreased 1.42%, led the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.85 million, while Aamal Company’s stock, which rose 0.23%, topped the market in terms of trading volume with 137,310 shares.
