QSE drops 30.6 pts at Thursday’s opening

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined 0.29% or 30.62 points to 10,436.37 points at Thursday’s opening.

The real estate sector decreased 0.57% as Barwa shed 0.68%, while Ezdan Holding and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development retreated 0.57% and 0.49%, respectively.

Banks levelled down 0.37% as Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) slid 1.16%, followed by Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), Masraf Al Rayan, and Doha Bank dropping 0.76%, 0.59%, and 0.16%, respectively.

Industrials went down 0.19% after Qatari Investors Group lost 0.65%, while Qatar Electricity and Water Company fell 0.37%, and Mesaieed Petrochemicals Holding shed 0.34%.

In the meantime, traded volume reached 512,180 shares exchanged at a value QAR 21.93 million through 396 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led shares in terms of trading volume with 148,960 shares traded, whereas Qatar Electricity and Water Company’s stock led values with QAR 9.62 million.
