QSE drops 59.28 pts at Sunday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.6% or 59.28 points to reach 9,879 points in Sunday’s opening trades.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, most of the sectors declined with the exception of the telecoms and insurance sector as the telecoms sector inched up 0.045% after Vodafone Qatar gained 0.22%, while the insurance sector remained stable.

The real estate sector lost 1.2% after Ezdan Holding Group shed 1.80% and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development decreased 1.61%.

The banks sector tumbled 0.65% as Qatar First Bank (QFB), Masraf Al Rayan, and Qatar National Bank (QNB) went down 1.06%, 0.95%, and 0.93%, respectively.

Qatari German for Medical Devices was the worst performer with 2.6%, whereas Zad Holding Company led risers with 1.8%.

Liquidity reached QAR 10.38 million, after 399,570 shares were exchanged, through 244 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of traded volume with 193,630 shares, while Industries Qatar led in terms of trading value with a liquidity of QAR 4.19 million.
